With over 27 years of accounting experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marlina leads Bay Vista Bookkeeping with a steady hand and a deep understanding of what business owners truly need. She has held leadership roles throughout her career, including Senior Business Manager, Accounting Manager, Bookkeeping Manager, and Manager of Bookkeeping Operations, giving her a well-rounded perspective on how to manage financials that truly support business growth.

As a two-time business owner with one successful exit, Marlina founded Bay Vista to offer the kind of dependable, experienced support she once needed herself. She knows what it’s like to need accurate financials and people who genuinely care about your business. As an Advanced Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and QuickBooks Online Gold Partner, she’s helped business owners across industries clean up their books, stay organized, and move forward with clarity and confidence.

Marlina is also passionate about mentoring the next generation of bookkeepers — equipping them with the tools to serve clients well and continue a legacy of excellence. She gives back by providing bookkeeping services to nonprofit organizations and serving on their boards.

Approachable, detail-oriented, and deeply committed to her clients, she’s known for building long-term relationships and delivering work business owners can truly rely on.

When she isn’t helping clients, Marlina enjoys life on the Gulf Coast — walking the beach, boating, and recharging near the water.

Shelly

Shelly brings over 20 years of accounting experience and holds both a BS in General Studies (Math, Education, and Music) and an MBA in Accounting.

Her background spans nonprofit, medical offices, retail, construction, and title companies.

Shelly’s true passion lies in preparing and interpreting financial statements to help clients understand the story their numbers tell.

She takes pride in delivering accurate, timely financials and supporting business owners with clarity and care.

Outside of work, Shelly enjoys quilting, sewing, exercising, and spending time with her family.
